Stylized Wood Material

I’m excited to present a new tool in Substance Designer that features two unique stylized wood materials: Wood Bark and Wood Slice. This tool is crafted to provide extensive customization options, enabling the creation of both realistic and stylized textures for your 3D models.

Key Features:

Wood Bark: This material offers a stylized representation of tree bark. You can adjust parameters such as roughness, color, and surface details. Additionally, you have the option to enable or disable knots and fine-tune their settings to add extra detail and realism.

Wood Slice: This material showcases a cross-section of a tree trunk, highlighting the growth rings in a stylized manner. You can choose between circular or spiral patterns for the rings. Adjustable parameters include the number of rings, their thickness, color variations, roughness, and other surface details. You can also enable or disable cracks and customize their settings for added detail.

Additional Functionality:

Both materials are combined into a single master material, allowing users to switch between Wood Bark and Wood Slice with interactive buttons. This feature simplifies the application of diverse and detailed textures to 3D models.

Use in Substance Painter:

Designed for use in Substance Painter, this tool facilitates the application of realistic and detailed textures to 3D models. The exposed parameters offer great flexibility and control over the final appearance of your 3D objects, making this tool ideal for projects in video games, animations, and virtual reality environments.

Availability:

The materials are available individually or as a master material. Additionally, the editable .sbs files from Substance Designer are provided for further customization.
